For this assignment, I interviewed my friend Sandy, my
uncle who is always busy with his work and a neighborhood. They all used the
online grocery delivery service before but they did not very satisfied.
However, they did not like to physically go to the store because it is
time-consuming.
It is not possible to always eat delivery
from restaurants because some of them used too much oil (not healthy). In
China, the grocer stores always open start from 6:00 A.M. so if you go too
late, the fresh groceries all gone. However, both of them can not go to the
store before work or school. They realized the need for a long time because
they always do not have enough time to pick up fresh food. However, the online
service sometimes just give customers bad groceries and always charge more than
the stores. They did not very satisfied with the service although it is true
convenience. When they first realize the unmet needs, they ask their parents
(retired) to buy groceries for them. They did not trust the online delivery at
first because they think the delivery person will mess up their orders, but the
tried later.
I believe in the future, people will rely on online
delivery service more. The service will not only popular during the COVID
situation but also popular in the future. People will have less time doing
chores, and the service can give them more free time.
Hello Yile,
ReplyDeleteI like that you were able to receive meaningful feedback from your audience. It seems like they are quite frustrated with the current systems in place, both the in-person store pickup as well as the online grocery delivery platforms. It seems to be quite a challenge to wake up early and rush to the grocery store just to get fresh vegetables. Even the idea of requesting neighbors to do their grocery shopping seems like a better idea than having to pay an overpriced amount to have bad grocery delivered to your home. I think your idea has potential and I hope you are successful with it. Great post!
