COVID-19 and people are really worried about the food safety problem.
Description of problem: It is
possible that the food or commodities these two employees touched before having
the virus and other employees may get infected. Since the Publix was not very
big and employees were less likely to wear masks, the possibility that many
people can get infected was not low.
Description of who has the
problem: All of the employees in Publix and the customers who shop
before.
Opportunity 3:
Title: Disney Springs implements number of new safety measures for phased reopening
Description of the story: The
Disney spring will reopen on May 20 and the employees here will take some
actions to protect people's health.
Description of problem: There
are many "rules" that people have to follow in the park because of
the virus. It is possible that some people will not pay full attention to it,
and the virus can be transmitted.

problem: All of the people in Disney Springs.

Title: Steak 'n Shake permanently closes 57 restaurants as company suffers during pandemic
Description of the story:
Because people are no longer go outside to eat during the pandemic, there are fewer
and fewer customers and steak'n shake can not make profits.
Description of problem: The
economy problem is not only in this store but also thousands of stores in the U.S.
are suffered from losing customers and losing money.
Description of who has the
problem: in this story, the steak'n shake is losing much money and actually,
thousands of companies also have to face the problem of losing profits.

ReplyDeleteThe articles you have chosen are reminiscent of the times we currently live. It is tough to see which side to take in these articles, especially for a case like opportunity 1, should we side with the students who didn’t get the refund or apartment companies that would have to close down without the rent money. It is also sad to see place like Steak N’ Shake closing down due to COVID-19 as that is one of my go-to spots in Gainesville. Great post!

ReplyDeleteI found it very interesting and useful with the opportunities you have chosen. With every UF student, we can in some form use these opportunities and actually live in them on a daily basis. With opportunity number 2, that one really stood out to me because I actually did not know that and go to Publix in Gainesville on a daily basis as well. Thank you for sharing I think you chose really interesting opportunities and keep up the great work.
